I watched some eppies of this show and I liked it.Unfortunately I didn't see how it ended.Any help will be appreciated.

The line "this is not an American sitcom" happened in season four, AFTER the American version had been canceled. This was no doubt a nod to the American verison being canceled. Thus "This is NOT an American sitcom."

I think that line was a nod to everyone who kept saying it was a ripoff of Friends. But it could have also been double bladed to deal with the US incarnate.

Well, The UK and the US version has the same director so I don´t think they ment that.

I think they have stolen a lot from Seinfeld.

I liked the US version better.
