my personal opinion is that, overall, the movie was not good, but I love Jason Schwartzman (I think he was PERFECT in that role), so for me he was the best part of it. I also think that Steve Martin was absolutely horrendous, they should have gotten someone else to play that part, he only did because he wrote the book.

I agree with you, but I did like the film, I think it was probably because of Jason though. Jeremy was the best thing about the whole film, you can't help but fall for him, and Jason actually seems to be even nicer and funnier in real-life.
