Birdcage (SPOILERS)

ok, so at the end his friend brings back the birdcage with 2 birds in it...that he has apparently been taking care of for his friend for at least several days...

and birds are messy, and there is TWO of them, yet the one piece of newspaper in the bottom of the cage is pristine..as if JUST changed out..and Ben Affleck lifts it up and there, sitting LOOSELY, is the lotto ticket.

????

Um...if you were going to hide such an IMPORTANT item at the bottom of that cage...wouldn't it be at least TAPED down, or in an envelope taped down, or underneath the cage taped or attached somehow???? Like so it was WATER PROOF at least...birds are MESSY, and it could have gotten stained or ruined so easily from bird mess or spilled water, etc etc etc.

i mean, who was cleaning the bird cage? His friend-or someone he assigned the duty to-wife, kids, assistant, etc, etc...and when taking out dirty newspaper while cleaning the cage out..they could have inadvertently also removed the lotto tic which could have easily been stuck to the paper via bird goo or whatever comes out with it and gets crumbled up and trashed...or someone notices -oh here is a lotto ticket, im gonna take it out. and his friend seemed clueless that anything of importance was in the cage, so we are supposed to believe that newspaper is removed and replaced at least once a day for who knows how many days, and the person doing it just leaves the LOOSE lotto ticket there and never mentions it..

i am usually pretty forgiving about films, but this just irritated me to no end...thus here i am venting about it.

the movie wasn't really that great..but c'mon....

I just finished this movie and had the exact same thought. But then again, any time you're dealing with 'time travel' there are bound to be countless plot holes.

Yes, but then again, he had the advantage of seeing the future, so he knew that by placing it there, it would be safe and he would eventually find it.

It would've been hilarious if the lotto ticket just slipped out and fell into a sewer grate where it's been ruined forever, thus he loses the chance to get all that money.

...

actually it would have been funnier if the lotto ticket was all covered in bird poop, like, really covered lol

I'll look down, and whisper no
