Watched it again after 2 years.. Its still sucks!!

So did she drive the truck with the kidnapped girl from the gas station to the woods then run back and steal the yellow car and drive back to the woods?? Maybe she drove the truck 100 yards and then got out and ran to the yellow car and switched up until she had car truck and hostage in the woods. Stupid movie. My gosh. It would have been so much better if she would have just been herself and decided to kick the killers teeth in but nope we gotta have some cheezy amateurish twist. The director wanted a twist so bad he scrapped the whole movie for it.

All the scenes you see with her attempting to rescue Alex are just part of her 'story', the lies she tells the police. All the scenes with the killer tormenting the family and Alex is actually what Marie is doing.

I personally thought it sucked as well, but these types of movies do appeal to some.
