Pandering for an international audience
It's funny, because I've seen American movies criticized for being simple and having lots of explosions and boobs to sell them more easily to foreign territories. It's nice to see we're not the only ones who make silly movies with lots of pop elements to appeal to other audiences.
This movie had minimal dialogue (which minimizes language barrier issues), a car chase, lots of violence and blood, and boobs. Aside from being the typical horror movie components, the lack of constant dialogue really makes this movie really easy for everyone to follow, and thus perfect for selling abroad.
