The Numerous + Gigantic Plot Holes....

(Tons of spoilers obviously)

1. Where the *beep* did Marie get the truck from?
2. So that severed head blowjob...wasETR a fantasy? WTF?
3. How come Alex didn't immediately freak out when Marie came to undo her restraints if she was JUST in there restraining her in the first place.
4. How is she shooting Alex's brother in the cornfield while comforting Alex & listening to the shot in Alex's room!
5. WHERE DID SHE GET THE GODDAMN TRUCK?!

And that's only a couple of them. There are literally a huge amount. Feel free to reply with other plot holes you noticed.

It's riddled with plot holes, because nothing of this happened as it is portrayed except that the family was murdered. Or maybe even this didn't happen like it is shown. Who knows?

1. The truck could just be any of the cars.
2. The blowjob was just a red herring (*yawn*).
3. The scene never happend in reality.
4. see 3
5. see 1

Even after the twist is revealed you have to question if what is happening is supposed to be real or if the movie is just bad.

E.g. a cut-off saw isn't something a non-professional needs, not even on a farm. Or should we believe, Marie put one in her luggage?
Alex should possibly be able to outrun Marie with the heavy saw.
Alex shouldn't be so dumb and wait in the car until Alex smashes all the windows, which also don't break into shards in reality.
And finally, a lightweight woman like Alex wouldn't be able to drive a blunt crowbar through a person at all.

But again, you can't believe the movie that this even happened as shown.

That is the biggest flaw of the movie and the reason I gave it 3/10, mostly because of the gore and not incompetent cinematography.
A good movie with a twist tells you a story that is in itself believable and then turns it on its head.
This movie's story isn't very believable and the twist doesn't help at all. Yeah, some things make more sense when you know the twist, but then the majority of what is shown does make even less sense. a good story would work both ways, this one does neither way, because it never happened anyway.
The twist is also badly timed with the reveal before Marie frees Alex. These scenes should be exchanged (obviously with the police arriving at daytime) and cut together. But then, we have the ending where Marie has suddenly supernatural sensing powers and can see Alex behind a one-way mirror apparently.

Overall, the movie is forgettable. I've seen it now twice because I already forgot I saw it. But from the start on it felt bad. And no twist turns a bad movie into a good one. Most people here are way overanalysing a story that didn't even happen and think this is what makes a good movie...
