Initially, yes, but I think that, as the film shows, the experiences we have and emotions we feel, the connections we make with people... they have to be taken with the good and the bad. They cannot exist without each other. And we BENEFIT from these experiences, whether they caused our tears or joy.

This is a beautiful film.
