So it’s nothing like the Die Hard films, agreed. Take that out of the equation, and this is still a fun, exciting, well made summer action flick. Most of negative criticisms seem to be coming from two things: it’s PG-13, and Bruce Willis doesn’t say “yippie kie yay motherfuker”. Well he sorta does, but whatever. So these two things automatically make a movie suck? Sounds more like a bunch of nostalgia-stricken crybabies who can’t handle something different. I agree the film SHOULDVE been made with an R rating, but the film we have is still enjoyable.

It sucks. Your first sentence says it all. John McClane has been in too many of these movies since Die Hard with a Vengeance (DH3) and needs to die I don't even want to see somebody else play McClane. Did they actually cast a guy because he did an Apple commercial in this one? Yes. The 90s are over. BTW, I don't want my 90s nostalgia ruined by millennial nostalgia lol.

I prefer it to Die Hard With a Vengeance.

I agree. I saw this when it came out and I thought it was great. I still watch it when it comes on TV.

It isn't bad. It's whatever is past bad. Horrible, maybe? A real stinker, this one.
