if i remember right tanner sloan(Cameron Finley) was adoptied by mitch and became his son but why wasnt he in the hawiian wedding

Mitch didn't adopt Tanner. In season 9 (pre-Baywatch Hawaii), Tanner won a scholarship to some school far away and moved. It was stated that Tanner would be moving to a new foster home. Tanner did visit Mitch after the move to Hawaii, but only for two episodes.

Tanner won a place at a boarding school in San Deigo,where he moved to but Mitch adopted him before he moved.
