He raped her numerous times and beat her. She's still scared of him. Apparently Winter causes your greatest fears to resurface after you are offically a "Deader," but they seem to vauge about it.
The new girl is just an example of how uncaring the boss was. He sent one girl to her death, and now he has a new victim. I assume he has gone through several reporters so that he can get ahold of the puzzle box himself.
The editor doesn't have anything to do with, or any knowledge of, the box or the Cenobites.
It does *seem* as though he might. Yet in the commentaries Rick Bota clearly states that the editor did not. But don't feel bad; Doug Bradley even wondered about that. :-)
Was anything supposed to be conveyed with the closeup of the picture and showing Amy Klein's eyes? As it zoomed in I was expecting something to indicate the editor was a demon or cenobite or something. But it zoomed in on Amy's eyes. Why?
