Victim Ron Launius would have made a much better central character than John Holmes.
Launius was like a GTA character come to life. He first got in trouble with the law for sending heroin back home from Vietnam in body bags with dead soldiers. His Vietnam smuggling career may have inspired the character played by Nick Nolte in "Who'll Stop The Rain".
Drug dealers in Mexico ripped him off and kidnapped his wife (Later to be the sole survivor of the Wonderland massacre), so he went back to the USA, robbed two banks to get the ransom money, then paid it and freed his wife, took her home, went BACK to Mexico and killed the kidnappers, then went back to the USA and killed the bikers who set him up in the first place.
At the time of his murder, he himself was the prime suspect in something like 27 murders in the USA.
As for John Holmes? Well, he had a real big dick...
