Yeah, also odd that the plan was to blow up the tunnel before anyone leaves or anything. Right after taking the money, with the security guard there and everyone around, blow up the tunnel? It was a huge explosion and everyone acts surprised, but it went right to plan... am I missing something?
Also, the mixing of the 50's with the 90's/00's was kind of annoying at the beginning. Eventually it 'gels' into it's own specific style, but for a little bit it was quite jarring. To see Hanks as a 50's gentleman sitting with 90's rapper looking Marlon Wayans at the waffle house was odd but funny.
I feel like this movie has enough charm and comedic moments/quirky characters that it got kind of a free pass on the oddity of it and how little sense everything made, as well as the plot/acting... just my view on it.
