IBS introduced very late.

I thought it was amateurish how, half way through the movie but immediately before a humorous plot point involving pancake's IBS, we find out he suffers from the condition. Should this not have been introduced earlier, or at least hinted at? It was like they thought of the tunnel/detonator gag but then thought they'd better shoehorn in an introduction to the IBS in the preceding scene.

And that is a paragraph I never thought I'd write.

I agree, they should have maybe hinted at it, but he first reveals it when he's in the casino. If that is the first time he is affected by it around them, why would he have brought it up before? IBS isn't something people go around sharing about

reply

It is hinted at before that. There's the scene where he's talking to Gawain, and he suddenly stops, and you hear his stomach churn. Then it passes and he just continues talking.

Osbourne Cox? I thought you might be worried... about the security... of your shi+.

It's is first hinted when he is telling Gawain about how he came to Missisippi in Grey hound buses..

I've got IBS and it's not something I go around telling everyone about. There are quite a few employees where I work and my boss is the only one who knows I have it. Like Mr. Pancake, most of the time I'm fine, but when it hits....

"What are we supposed to use? Harsh language?"

Garth Pancake didn't chose to have IBS!
