In the opening scene, Marva Munson admonishes the sheriff: "You don't wanna be tried an' found wantin'. No, many, many done tunkalow parzen, Sheriff. Many, many done tunkalow parzen."

So what does she mean by "tunkalow parzen"?

Its a garbled version of "mene mene tekel upharsin", which is the mysterious "writing on the wall" from Chapter 5 of the Book of Daniel.
