I haven't watched this movie and would like to know if it's good. Reading the message boards and stuff I already know it's something about cloning a kid but still not sure if i should watch it. Plz tell me and state WHY if you think I should/shouldn't watch it. thx!

shareDo keep in mind that it's a terrible movie though. You won't be bored, and u'll be freaked out, which kinda makes it worth it...but at the end you'll be angry at whoever got paid for coming up with such a stupid idea.

the premise was interesting, there's a lot of generic "scare tactics", a few forced plot points & the ending pretty much fizzles.
but do you want to know the best way to find out if you like the movie or not... WATCH IT

I agree with dubletruble (I think). Honestly, I'm dumbfounded by the film and I just watched it. I don't even remember much of the begining. Or ending.

I would say skip this movie...
The acting talents of DeNiro and Kinnear were wasted on a sluggish script with a pointless message.
Stamos has not developed into a good dramatic actress as of yet. She is hot and still looks good in skin tight blue... but she wasn't believable in this role.
The ending was completely useless and un believable.
Overall the movie had some cheap thrills but I am sure there are much smarter, better movies out there...
Yah..but it works much better if in your mind's eye you imagine that:
1) David Letterman, instead of Greg Kinnear, is portraying [Paul Duncan]
2) The Deniro character [Dr. Wells] is actually Travis Bickle, who almost thirty years later is now a mad scientist
3) Rebecca Romijn-Stamos [Jessie Duncan] is naked and speechless through out the entire movie
4) The son [Adam Duncan] is portrayed by an animated Bart Simpson
5) The rest of the characters are portrayed by chimpanzees

Don't watch this piece of garbage because it would be a complete waste of your time. There is no sense or logic to it. You will sit there saying "That would never happen like that!" over and over. It is playing on people's fears of science. If you are afraid of science, well, you probably don't watch movies.
Go watch "Donnie Darko" instead. It is much better.

I just watched this yesterday bc my girl picked it up from the library. Oh complete waste of time. I wish the library would pay me for the time lost.
