Don't you think he must be more choosy in picking films to act? Sure thing,in any production he would make loads of money. but he just can't help acting in low-quality hollywood rots.
I do miss his earliest stuff so badly which he acquired to create living characters in an original way!

Personally I think the premise to this film sounds cool. Maybe he thought the same, the script seemed good and he was already signed on before it went bad.

I agree....De Niro belongs in films such as "Midnight Run" , "Goodfellas" or "Casino"..I would imagine the film looked promising in writing. I watched it last night and fell asleep (literally) halfway through!!
