So much more could have been done with this story...

For the record, I'm a huge fan of De Niro, and of horror films so was really looking forward to Godsend. Wasn't impressed with Hide & Seek, and hoped this would make up for it!

Why did the writers take the storyline down the road of De Niro implementing his own evil sons personality into the boy I'll never know!

If it was me writing the story, I'd have had something a lot more scary that could happen after the anniversary of the childs (can't remember his name!) death. He could have turned really evil, and became a very creepy killer. The whole emphasis could have been put on the fact that there was a reason he died when he did, and it was to save the world around him from a great evil...
