Anyone else think they could have done better casting? This actor that played Adam is a cute boy, but he looked SO MUCH older then the 8 years old he was supposed to be-
Or maybe they could have made him 10 instead of 8- He was not a bad actor- he just looked very big for 8!
I think the actor did fine playing Adam, but I agree that they should have made his character older. The actor was actually 11 at the time of the movie, so making him 8 years old is a bit of a stretch. They could have simply changed his age to 10 or 11 and it wouldn't have affected the plot.
It's not the worst age stretch I've ever seen though. In Butterfly Effect they used Logan Lerman to play 7 year old Evan, and he didn't even look close to the right age. I think Logan was actually 12 in that movie, and he looked it too.

And strangely enough this boy was also in "Butterfly Effect"!

I hope Cameron Bright doesn't turn out like other child stars such as Haley Joel Osment. He's playing a little boy in a lot of movies these days, just like Haley Joel Osment before he disappeared.
Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.
I actually think it's worse using an older child for a younger role than using grown adults to play teenagers. Both look utterly ridiculous (especially seeing adults pretending to be kids) but with kids, they age so quickly that there is a marked difference between an eight-year-old and a ten-year-old. What's even worse in Cameron Bright's case is that he isn't baby-faced and he looks very much his age so he didn't look eight at all in this film.

This kid was also in 'Birth' can he get in any other movies than crap half wit attempts at horror movies!?
