what I think would be a better ending (sort of a spoiler?)

I just got done watching Godsend for my 1st time. It was interesting up until the last 30 minutes or so, and I would just like to mention how I would’ve had the movie end…

Paul, Jessie & Adam should’ve all ended up dead; the closing scene should’ve been Richard propositioning a new couple who just lost their son the possibility of having him back.

There you go, that’s all I wanted to say, because I personally think the ending in the movie SUCKS!

That is sort of one of the possible "alterante" endings on the DVD. It goes through the same part the original film does (Mom going into shed, Adam getting axe, Dad stops him)...but after all that, you don't see them moving into a new home. We find DeNiro's character, clean shaven, approaching a sobbing couple stepping out of a church. DeNiro starts talking, camera pulls away, roll credits, THE END. Yeah, I thought that would've been good too.

I had a feeling it was one of the 'choices' on the DVD. but I got so tired of watching the same fricken ending over & over again, I just stopped watching.

They implied that DeNiro was going to do that, anyway, when they showed him looking through the obituaries.

No. Your ending was moronic. No 8 year old kid could read bomb instructions and then follow through with those intructions to kill himself.
