The ending for the final cut was a little lame but it worked okay however i personally like the ending where Paul dies in the church fire and De Niro's character marries his wife and she has no clue what happened to me this is the "true" ending to the film which one is your favorite?

I think it should have ended 5 minutes earlier, where the kid has that evil smile. Leaves ya wondering.

i also like the ending where Wells meets the new couple. leaves a more chilling impression

It should've ended him raping his mother, because it is not really Zachary's mom.
