You sure that they are supposed to be in 4th grade? I am watching it now and when the principal is introducing jack black to the other teachers grades. One guy covers 2nd grade the. The next lady covers 4th grade and the last guy covers pe.
Now I know there could be more than 1 in the school but I haven't seen anything to think they are suppose to be in 4th grade. My best guess would say 6th grade.
Given how Keira Knightley was playing characters meant to be in their 20s when she was still a teenager, it's safe to say that not everyone looks the age they're 'supposed' to be. Some kids will look older and some look younger.
