HOW AWESOME WOULD A SEQUEL BE?
PLEASE.
shareWell there's talks of a sequel but it wouldn't be with any of the original cast. And if it doesn't have the original cast especially Jack Black then I don't want to see it made.
I was LOADED okay!!!!!
i thought of this, and what if they had the original cast in it, maybe they released a few EPs or something, but theyve gotten older, and want to leave and go to college. dewey feels abandoned by them, and is struggling to keep his "school of rock" that they showed in the end, going. maybe somehow at the end, they come back to put on another show somehow, help him keep his school going
shareIt's an interesting idea but how many comedy sequels have turned out good? For every Austin Powers: Spy Who Shagged Me there's 10 Caddyshack IIs
The Saga Continues
Star Wars Episode VII
12-18-15
after 7 seven years, what college of rock or something? if it doesnt have jakc black in it i doubt id see it
sharewell i can see it being made, but it would not be very good, probably just a rehash of the original, i really am surprised and glad they've not made one yet, but you never know....
you know there is a problem when games are smarter than movies
A sequel would be horrible if it was a whole new cast basically doing the same thing again.
But how amazing would it be if they made a sequel with all of the original cast, all of the kids would be teenagers now so they'd be in high school and Jack Black's character could decide to get the band back together or something. Eugh. Wishful thinking haha.

That might be funny in a tribute to the Blues Brothers kind of way.
I'm holding everyone to a higher standard- a standard much higher than my own
Call it Rock U. (as in University)
Tagline: "We Will."
It practically writes itself!
YES PLEASE.
Like seriously, I don't care if it would suck and I don't care if the cast is all seven years older. C'mon, they could get the band back together like most are saying. I would go see that, even if it flops.
Remakes = Bad
Sequels = Good
"Maggots, Michael. You're eating maggots. How do they taste?" -David, The Lost Boys (1987)
according to Wikipedia (the great god of all internet information-lol. jk-kind of)in 2008 it was announced, but later a producer or director said it might not happen. When promoting year one, Jack black said it might happen, but he'd only do it if it was as good/better than the first. As of 2008, the plot for it was going to be that Finn (jack) takes a group of summer school students on a trip. Heres the quote:
"titled "School of Rock 2: America Rocks, which picks up with Finn leading a group of summer school students on a cross-country field trip that delves into the history of rock 'n' roll and explores the roots of blues, rap, country and other genres."
This sounds great to me! I'd love to see it. Although it also has the potential to suck.
Here's the link to the whole article:

They should do it.It would be amazing if they did only if they have the original cast though
shareIt will be the school of Rock if this is remade because for some reason rock replaces pop if it isn't tekno. It sound cooler...
Honestly i can only see this being remade only as a TV movie not cinema.
Jack Black would have to reprise his role for the movie to work along with Miranda Cosgrove I suppose you could recast the rest of the characters.
shareI remember reading back when the movie first came out that they wanted to make a sequel and then it just disappeared. I think a sequel now would be fun, with the kids in high school or college. It's kind of crazy to think that it's been THAT long already!
Dragonzord! Mastodon! Pterodactyl! Triceratops! Saber Toothed Tiger! Tyrannosaurus!
not very.
How much would it suck. Almost every one of the kids from the original has left acting. What's the point. Guess what, it's a movie. It wasn't a real group of kids. They were musicians brought in to play parts.
no sequel will happen. Ever. Deal with it.
Also, since every noob under 30 years old only listens to boy bands, stupid pop singing chicks, and dubstep -- there's no point in making movies about 'rock'. None of you even like guitars or rock.
I was thinking where are these kids now, a squeal doesn't sound as a bad idea if it's done right.
shareI agree with you, it would be great but only with all the original cast, including Jack Black. C'mon Jack, if you appealed to Jimmy, Robert and Jonesy to have Immigrant Song included, listen to your fans that would love to see a WELL DONE sequel. Just because most sequels are only done to be cash cows, doesn't mean a good sequel can't be produced.
