Just ruined the ending

No couple dies at same due to natural causes no matter how much they love each other. To be fair, due to his heart attack Noah could've died that night but he seemed he was recovering, but no one dies of dementia so Ellie dying at the exact same night it's *beep* Yes it IS possible but the chances are very low.

Here's what most likely happened: they've made a suicide pact and swallowed a bunch of pill they got. I just ruined a movie I actually enjoyed for myself.

There's something doctors report called 'postponed death', where the prospect of seeing a big day encourages a person to resist Death's advances. I also found some research stating that a person is more likely to die on his or her birthday. Sometimes one spouse will die, and the other will follow within a few weeks, despite having previously been healthy. Whichever way, there is a suspicion that something non-random is going on; this shouldn't be surprising to us, since our brains are connected to our bodies and our bodies to our brains, and each part influences the other.
