Echoes of Marvel Comics?

The second series, with the serpent men, seems similar to the crossover "Atlantis Attacks" - although I'm assuming both are "drinking from the same well" and drawing upon Howard's "Conan" series (never read these, but I've got the two Fantasy Masterworks books which collect them all, and hope to start reading shortly).

HOWEVER - I was watching "Web of Evil", and the scene with He-Man holding up the mountain while Fisto punches his way to the Masters niggled at me, until I remembered - is this a deliberate homage to Marvel's first "Secret Wars" series, in which the Hulk holds the mountain dropped on the heroes by the Molecule Man, while Thor smashes the mountain to make his way to them (the heroes mistaking his powerful blows for slight tapping!)?

Has this been spotted before, or acknowledged by the creators?
