The acting in the alternate ending was pretty lousy, but that aside, it was interesting that Juliette Lewis was pregnant and sad to see her sister (Karen was it?) in a wheelchair... But about the pregnancy, don't you remember Dale's dad telling him he couldn't even have kids & how he mentioned he killed Lorna's kids, but they were not really his? So he wasn't infertile I guess? And how crazy is it that she visited his grave after what he did to her sister?!

About her visiting the grave...I think she felt a weird sort of loyalty to him no matter what he did, but that one I can't be sure about.

Actually, Dale's father never specifically says that Dale is "sterile" or "impotent"; and the two children of the marriage are never confirmed as products of an affair. In fact, I got the impression that they were brought into the marriage. Of course, we know that Dale is neither sterile nor impotent-- otherwise Juliette Lewis' character would be totally unnecessary.
shareyeah i don't see how the father knew his son was infertile. dale didn't seem the type to go get himself checked out for that kind of stuff.
