Stupid. Lethe cop sister in the bar
Why wouldn't she just arrest him right there. When he punched her sister !!! A girl... amongst other guys trying to stop the fight.

shareThat was almost as stupid as having a single female policing a town.
shareIt wasn't that big of a town; more like a rural township with a gas station/restaurant/bar as the place for social gathering.
shareStill if you're gonna have a single cop do anything then at least hire a man for the job.
But aside from that I think they should always come in pairs, no matter how small the place is.

Nothing against female officers but there is still a physical difference between men and women that can not be ignored. Females definitely have a place in law enforcement but they should come in pairs and if for some reason you need to have just a single officer (again, not a fan) then at least give the job to a man that has a fighting chance against male aggressors.
The main reason though why I'm not a fan of a lone officer is that in pairs they a little but police the behavior of the other. Its not perfect but the lone officer can get a little drunk with power and act like judge and jury and you as a single regular Joe have no weight when it comes to reporting it. Again I know the pair is not perfect either, they can definitely become corrupt partners in crime, but I still believe on average it should be more ideal.
I don't care about budgets. If there isn't enough budget for a good systerm around police enforcements... well then the budget should be higher.
Also maybe prioritize better? I know there has been some militirization of the police which has a high cost but not much is spent on training.
I see what you're saying and it makes sense but, when it comes to movies, you have to look at it from the filmmakers' perspective: They didn't want to crowd the film with too many people beyond the 6-7 principles. I'm sure their intent was to keep things simple, socially speaking, plus save money by not hiring an actor to play an additional officer.
