I just rewatched this movie and I wanted to know what was on the paper that Kyoko removed from behind that painting or wall panel?What was the signifigance of that?...and










why is it the curse there in that place?

Kyoko, as you probably noticed, can "see dead people," to borrow a phrase.

The paper she removed from behind the door of the shoe-closet was a Buddhist (or was it Shinto?) charm to protect the home against evil spirits --- big help THAT was, eh?

The room was cursed because that was where Kobayashi's wife and unborn baby were killed by Kayako's husband, and it became part of the one big curse that is "Ju-On."
