Jennifer Beals to Star in TNT Drama Pilot from Kyra Sedgwick





Jennifer Beals has landed the lead role in Proof, a supernatural medical pilot for TNT, executive-produced by Kyra Sedgwick, Deadline reports.

Beals will play Dr. Kathryn Russo, a brilliant surgeon who begins investigating supernatural phenomena including resurrections, out-of-body experiences, and hauntings. In her personal life, Russo is grappling with the loss of her teenage son and trying to salvage her strained relationship with her daughter.

Rob Bragin will write the pilot and Alex Graves will direct. Sedgwick previously starred in and executive-produced TNT's police drama The Closer. On TV, Beals is best known for her work on the Showtime series The L Word. Most recently, she co-starred in the WIGS YouTube series Lauren.
