If I wanted to do porn...

I'd just do porn. As an actor, I don't respect the people involved with this film.
You wanna go do porn, fine, but don't try to cover it up as an art film and say that it served the story. They're no better than the average whore on the corner or porn actor screwing for money(male or female)

Couldn't agree more.

I actually respect porn actors more. They're doing what they WANT to do.

Having sex on screen is not acting. It doesn't require any creative ability. Anyone of us could do it if so inclined. Orson Welles once said: 2 things you should never have an actor do on screen: pray, or have sex. And he was right.

The whole point of filmmaking is to find a way to artistically tell your story. A sex scene is the non-creative, non-challenging shortcut. And now, it's become a way to lure males away from their internet porn sites into the theatres on a weekend so the producers can make big bucks. People are being conned. There's no art to that.

We're ruining the whole purpose of movies.

I doubt you have ever seen a porn movie, but I can tell you it's not 90 minutes of dialogue and 1 blow job. I can imagine your disappointment if you watched The Brown Bunny expecting to see Ron Jeremy doing Sasha Grey.

Chaos reigns

Finally a sensible post. I couldn't agree with you more in this one mate. I don't get it why movies want to put in unstimulated sex scenes when it's not even related and necessary. You might as well do porn. And violence is the same too.
