I can't beleive they changed a Muppet's skin color.....

I can't beleive they changed a Muppet's skin color, why? especially since the new color is pardon my french, "butt ugly". I liked Floyd since day one and his bright orange color made him stand out and it also made sense seeing as he was part of the Electric Mayhem. So why change the color? especially to something as ugly as purple--a color that doesn't go with his bright orange beard at all.

I just don't get it. It doesn't make any sense to change the color-and they couldn't possibly have a good enough reason--especially when it's a terrible change for the worse.

reply

Uh....Floyd's always been purple ever since the Muppet SHow. He hasn't changes any.

reply

well obviously he's been changed in some way--he's orange in the first movie.

reply

I watched the ifrst film today...hes purple. Plus, how can you even tell if hes changed. He only had limited screentime in this.

reply

Okay..Ive paused it on Floyd and I see what you mean. They didn't change his sking color, but they changed his orange beard to red. In Muppet Wizard of Oz, they changed him back to orange.

reply

the only major skin color change with the muppets that i know of is that Oscar the grouch in the very beginning of Sesame Street was orange other than that, there haven't been any major changes. (although in different productions, Zoot's skin looks like different shades of the same color, but nothing major)

reply

Ernie was different, to. His nose used to be maroon, and his shiet colours were different.

SHAME!!!!!!!

After watching this movie, does it seem like kermit's green has changed a bit? He used to be sort of a dull light green-now he's more kelly green.

Hate to break it to you, but:

1) Muppets have a tendency to change skin color, even if only slightly sometimes.
2) Floyd was never orange. He was always a kind of pinkish-purplish (I think it was kind of a play on words, you know...Pink Floyd? Get it?).

I want...I want...I WANT EVERYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE MOVIES!
