So Kermit caused 9/11?

When Kermit visits the world where he never existed, the World Trade Center Towards are visible outside Piggy's apartment window. Does this mean Kermit master minded the 9/11 attacks? It stands to reason, if the towers remain standing in a world where Kermit never existed.

Woah. Considering this movie came out in late 2002, that's actually a big deal. Considering some of the film's other dark humor, could this have been intentional? Kermit may not have "master minded" the attacks, but he may have done something which led to the attacks.
