First of all, I'd like to say I really liked this movie...I admit it was not a flawless movie but I still really enjoyed it...
Now onto the main point of this post...did anybody else dig the Eric Idle cameo? That was probably one of my favorite parts of the movie...I don't if it was because it was Eric or if it just because it was funny.
I agree, that was my favourite part too.
Too bad, he became very old very fast... :-(
Yeah, what's with all these people I loved watching during the '60s and '70s suddenly looking so old?
Take Idle for instance, he was a young funny guy in his 30's back in the day, but now he looks like he's 60 years old. I just don't get it.
What was the point? The wife and I both sat up and said "That was Eric Idle?" But .... so what?
I'm a big fan of his. He hosted Saturday Night Live several times in the early years and of course I love Monty Python.

I hoped they would take it further and have him involved with the plot, the fact that they didn't kind of left it hanging. I got the impression that Eric was passing by the set and someone said "Hey, got a minute?".
