I don't quite understand why Harrison Ford's character was wearing sunglasses and eating a donut while making love to Lena Olin's character, but damn if it wasn't funny.

She was making fun of stereotypical cops, with their sunglasses and donuts. So he wore them whilst making love as a joke.

it was a ridiculous scene but Ford pulled it off, just about.
