Orny's Psoriasis Joke Brilliant!

Did anyone else just love Orny's joke:

"So I think I might have psoriasis. The other day I was in a bus, and a sign said, 'Someone on this bus probably has psoriasis.' And so I look around... I WAS THE ONLY GUY ON THE BUS!"

I'm just kidding. Peole in the audience actually laughed at that. I understand it wasn't his fault. Using psoriasis instead of lupus is much more politically correct. The original joke about having lupus actually made sense, though. It is possible for someone to have it without knowing it. Whereas, if you have psoriasis you can easily find out- you don't need to get any testing. Plus, probably everyone gets mild skin irritation from time to time.

It was just funny to me, that given he had to change his joke, he picked one of the lamest conditions as a substitute: psoriasis? Oh no! I'm shaking in my boots!

Signed,

Booty

Heh...that joke was ok, but when you stop to think about it, there's also the bus driver. Kinda diminishes the impact.

I liked that joke, counting the bus driver is just over analyzing. However subsituting lupus for psoriasis just didn't work. Lupus is a funny word, as Seinfeld himself knows. My question is though, if it was okay to say Lupus on the original Seinfeld show, why did they ban it from Letterman? I guess people have become more sensitive about diseases, which i don't really understand. Are there that many lupus sufferors out there that would call and complain about the joke? Oh well, bottom line is that Lupus is funny, Psoriasis isn't, sorry Orny.
