a TV show would be intresting

I posted the following when replying to a post about a film that somebody was attempting to write about a comedian. My thoughts were the following

I am a comedian, and I personally think that this is not a good idea for a movie. I believe that the most intresting part of being a comedian is what goes on back stage. All the comedians wish eachother luck, but it's not genuine. Every comedian wants to be the top comedian of the night. Joke stealing is also very intresting. I have never stolen a joke, but I have had my jokes changed a little bit and taken by somebody i have been on a card with before. Comedians are big on time. If you have 10 minutes..you better not eat into another comedians time. Its all laughs when your under that light, but it is termoil back stage. One thing i find very intresting is that comedians are normally very reserved off stage. I have had people approach me for pictures after a show, and they expect me to be cracking joke after joke off stage. It is not like that. Most comedians i know are reserved off stage.

I believe that all these aspects of being a comedian would make for an intresting HBO or showtime series. Maybe 4 comedians move to LA to get their comedy careers started. jelousy, material, and trying to get put on good quality shows and venues can be part of the show. It could be entourage meets true life.

Comedy is great, and sadly its a an art form that has a lot of phony people that are recycling material from other comedians. I hate those comedians. I am a comedian, and when you start out, it is very hard to find your own voice because you want to imitate your comedy heroes..in my case it was george lopez, mitch headberg, and prior. after you have been to the mic a few times..you find your stride. you find your own voice. This alone can be difficult and would make for good viewing. comedy needs more originality.....WE NEED IT!!!

Im working on things...Evev if im never famous, i will be original...

P.S.. comedians need to work on writing comedy and not worry so much about being famous.. a painter must work on his craft before being a great painter. Work on your writing and if your dedicated fame will be the product of your hard work...

Life is a stage, so ask for a mic check!

True, it'd make an interesting series.

And how's your life as a comedian these days, jizzord?
