Maybe I missed something, but I can't seem to find any posts regarding how stupid the whole underlying concept of the movie is, which I expected to see a lot of. And maybe, just maybe, I've misunderstood the whole thing.

Anyway... Blotting out the sun is stupid. Sure, the machines might get most of their power from the sun, but since they run on electricity, the source of the energy doesn't really matter. They could just aswell power themselves with nuclear power, or something else. Humans on the other hand are 100% dependent om the sun. The sun is the source of all life on the planet. Without the sun there would be no plants, which in turn means no animals, no oxygen and no humans.

The other thing is "the human betteries". Humans don't produce energy, that's even more stupid.

I really like this movie, but the whole thing is based on a really dumb concept.
