No Female Soldiers In The War (2nd Renaissance)

Ok this is very naive, ignorant, or just plain dumb for me to ask but how come there were no woman soldiers in the fight against the machines? It does take place in the far future & its common today to have both men & women in the army. Is it cuz writers felt it would be more disturbing to see a woman soldier getting killed? Construction criticism welcomed. Just no insults please.

Women suck at being in the army, female marines do less work than men because they can't, end of story.

in the aftermath of the war you see women alongside the captured soldiers being experimented on, but yeah no females in the battle itself.
