Why was Stiffler invited to the wedding but not Oz?

It makes no sense. Stiffler picked on Jim and ridiculed him all his life. They're not friends. Why would Jim invite him and not his friend Oz?

In American Reunion, Oz mentions that he missed the wedding, so most likely he was invited but couldn't be there because of work or something.

And if I remember correctly, nobody invited Stifler at first. But then he found out and convinced Jim to let him come (by claiming that he was responsible for Jim and Michelle hooking up and then teaching him to dance.)

To the OP, did you watch the movie? Stifler wasn't invited, he crashed the pre-celebration after finding out about the wedding, and then he practically rail-roaded Jim into finally giving him the OK to come! The filmmakers brought him back for this movie, obviously because he's the funniest character in the series, Oz was never really a comedic character, so he would have been pretty boring in this movie.

Oz was invited, but a deleted scene (confirmed by the writer in the commentary) says Oz and Heather were in Spain, and couldnt arrive back in time as the wedding was done in a short space of time due to Jim's grans ill health.
