Jim and His Wife Went to Highschool Together But The Parents Didnt Know

Him? and he didnt know the parents? anybody else notice this?

I found it even more odd that the pair went to High School together but Michelle's parents needed to spend the night at Jim's house. I'm assuming that Michelle's parents moved sometime after Michelle graduated.

well a *beep* of kids went to that school and it's not like jim & michelle were friends or dating . they only went on one date together (prom) and werent a couple but i guess most girls parents would want a photo of their daughter with her date on prom nite so in that respect it's a bit strange but the real purpose of him meeting the folks in the third film was obvioulsy to up the need to make a good first impression etc etc

Its never said they went to high school together, she was at band camp and just ended up going to prom with him.

you realize this is the 3rd installment in a series, right? have you seen the first two movies? they go to prom together and talk at school in the first movie, and talk about high school in the second...

I agree, I think it was a huge mistake...Dated for that long, engaged, and never met the parents? It was just to add to the plot, but I didn't like that aspect of it.

Not all parents are all up in their kids business. I know my parents were not . They never really cared to meet my friends. So maybe Michelle's parents were the same way. Also they went to school together but again the parents might not been introduced. Maybe the parents moved far away after she graduated and didn't get to meet him until the wedding. I am assuming, we do not know their back story. Maybe they move around a lot for work. After the scene that the mom thought that Michelle was a virgin I am
Not sure how much she really knew Michelle.
