Theory: Coraline Never Left The Other World

What does everyone think of this theory? Basically, both the book and the movie have context clues that, if you know how to look for them, show that Coraline never returned to the real world from the first moment she stepped into the other world. Every time she’s shown in the “real world” after that, it’s really a limbo of the other world and the movie’s “plot holes” or just the things in the movie that don’t seem to make sense are just clues that confirm that she is still trapped in the other world.

The Fangirl goes into more depth on this in multiple videos on Coraline but this video is a good video of hers to start with:

No. She defeats the Other Mother. SHE DOES!!!

Her return to reality is realistic. Things are a bit better, but not in the way that the Other Mother would make them better, because the Other Mother understands nothing but overkill and smothering. If Coraline's reality is better, it's largely because Coraline has put in the work to make it so - she's invested time in making friends, and is putting the work in to make a garden, and the Other Mother definitely doesn't understand work. Of course the parents are less grouchy and neglectful, but the mother is still grouchy, but it's obvious that they're going to go back to being super-grouchy and neglectful during future deadline.
