Apparently people in high places are trying to get the show back on, but need some fan support in the form of letters to SciFi.
Well, I sent one when I first heard it might go off. I might send more.

The letters ARE being noticed! Nancy Roberts (who is one of the heads of Stampede Entertainment, the people who produce Tremors) had a meeting with the SciFi head honchos last week. About the series, probably, and maybe discussions to bring it back! (Keep those fingers and toes crossed!)

The graboids are great, and the shriekers and ABs, too, but the fact is, those creatures alone are not enough to support a regular series.
The movies were about regular people fighting monsters. That's the core concept, and the series stuck with that. They just added new monsters to support an ongoing series.
The real problem with the series, I think, is that it was pulled in too many directions. The SciFi people wanted one thing, the Stampede people wanted something, and they just weren't getting 100%. Perhaps if the series comes back, they'll get a better shot at it.

I agree. And although the FX are a little simple at times (blame the budget) the show is still great fun, much due to its campyness. And who wouldnt want to have El Blanco as a pet? I say the show needs at least a full season with plenty of cameos (Christopher Loyd as the -- duh -- nutty professor was great, J.D. Walsh fits, etc), weird creatures and black Burt Gummer humor. The Stampede offical site had a few other great ideas for monsters and storeylines, of which only one has been used in the actual show. Uh oh, I got my watch goin off.... must be El Blanco doing a run past.
