Ok I'm so lost here, there was an episode with shriekers that killed a bunch of guys and stuff, and it was really really gory, like mutilated bodies, it showed heads and ribcages torn up!!! Why is the series so much gorier than the movies?? And why do they cut out stuff from the movie, but show even more graphic stuff on the tv series???

shareIts not really gory compared to other movies however considering over here in the Uk its on at 4 in the afternoon which is when kids back from school usually watch tv it is very shocking. Im still slightly confused as to how its allowed to be shown so early, i mean the episode today featured 3 mutilated bodies. They weren't zoomed in on but it was pretty close allowing you to see the rib cage and some flesh/organs left inside, dismembered legs etc. Very confusing indeed.

I'm 25 and I love the show, but was suprised to see the amount of gore that is in this show being on at about 12pm on a sunday afternoon.
Alright, I don't meant to be a troller; I love the show and wish tremors 5 would just come out on TV instead of direct to video.
Anyways, the answer to how they show this series at all times of the day without editing is that NOBODY WATCHES IT! That being said, if nobody watches it (read: very few people) and the only people that do watch it are fans... who's gonna call the FCC? not me... I want this show on the air. If universal finds out it actually incurs fees... show's cancelled.
Why are the movies less gory? They decided to show more movie (plot, character, violence) rather than wasting screen time panning across dead bodies. I'd say there is the same amount of gore as the movies, just compressed into 30 minutes... which gets us at about 3 times as much gore per minute.
Well it's 45 mins, and Trust me, there are some very sad people who just LOOK, HARD for things to complain about, certainly in the UK they do.
The show's already cancelled by the way, over a year ago.
