how gory is this

One episode I do recall had the Shriekers attacking, showing the aftermath of an attack with people's ribcages and body parts and some pretty bloody gore showing, and it's a freaking tv show :/ sometimes it seems gorier than the movie series itself..

I just bought the series yesterday and watched most of it today. It's actually suprisingly violent and gory in some spots, rivaling the even the movies IMO. When the shreikers kill people, there's often lots of gory leftovers seen afterwards. In "Night of the Shriekers", one guy gets bitten and dragged away by a shreiker; lots of blood splatters on a door. Some folks are shown getting melted by acid, one dude gets bitten in half by a graboid (we see the lower half of his body thrown around alot), and in an early episode, a ceratin guest star gets impaled by a harpoon and he's shown twitching around on the ground, which really suprised me!
