What happened to the children?
Something i've always wanted to know is what happens to the children of all the stepford families? Surely its not just a place for couples because Walter and Joanna have children and they're allowed to live there.
Also the paintings in the mens clubhouse thingy show many couples with children.
We never see what happens to the children during the day, the topic isnt even covered. What do they do? There are no shops or playgrounds or cinemas or anything for the kids to do, and it doesnt seem like buses go through Stepford as its a gated community.
And at the barn dance, there are no children are there? Surely in such a close knit community, it would be a day out for the kids aswell as the adults.
Also, after bobbie is turned into a robot/stepford wife, we see she has 3 sons who she treats like kings. where were these sons before? They never seem to be around, or even mentioned, when we are first introducted to bobbie.
This is my sort-of assumption about the children: They arrive at Stepford with their parents like everything is normal, but just like the men pursuade all new men to transform their wives, they also pursuade them to send their kids to boarding school.
Only thing that wouldnt fit this would be bobbies children who suddenly appear during the day after bobbie is transformed, and she makes them lunchboxes which i assume are to take to school.
any ideas?
