I think the red hair from Moulin Rouge suited her complexion best. Blonde hair doesn't suit her skin tone ( especially not when long, short was okay ish). The brown hair made her look washed out.

I think she looked amazingly cute with that short hair. And totally boring and fake with the long blonde hair.

Me too (and that's even though I didn't like that particular hair style! It still was much better than that brown hair and that ghastly short hair-cut! Maybe it suits other people, but on her... eeeeeeeh!

My theory is that they shot the ballroom scene (when Kidman has long blonde hair) first. Then she got a haircut and they shot the very last scene (where Roger, Bobbie, and Joanna did that interview on TV) right after she cut her hair, but before she died it brown. After that, she died her hair brown, and shot all the scenes that came before the ballroom scene.
I don't know if that's what happened, but it certainly makes sense.

whatever it was, i thought the opening scene when its pushed straight back looked terrible! nicole kidman is beautiful, but that look did absolutely nothing for her!
