I was ten the last time i played this. (now im 13) Anyway, I was playing it downstairs at like 2:00 in the morning and im not positive which part of the game its at but when u walk into the bathroom thats upstairs and u examine the bath tup and it quickly shows u in it and the bath is full of blood and ur dead. I flung my controller all the way acrosss the room and jumped like 3 feet. That freaked me ot so bad. anyone else get freaked out at that or is it just me?

Its definately a freaky game, with some damn cool sanity effects. Some of the stuff that happens is just so unexpected that you can be a little shocked.
I love the game, its got a great story, gfx(for its time) and gameplay.

That bathtub was pure evil, it is purposoly put after you've gone examining boring stuff like paintings. It scared the living sh!t out of me and I couldn't bring myself to examining anything after that. All the stuff going on after it as well, like the bust's head following you and the loud knocking... I couldn't go on. To eerie.

Like the bath room scene this is always there, didn't you finish the game? You have to got to the dining room after paul's level. Thats where the next page is. I just love going in there and even before I see him, hearing the rope swing back and forth.

That made me jump, but I watch movies, and I tried predicting what might happen next. Never saw it coming.

But that didn't scare me much, the only things that scared me:

When bugs crawl on your screen. I have an insect phobia, if they put a hornet on the screen, I'd scream like a little girl, and wouldn't think for a second it wasn't real.

The screen shutting off. I was playing that on a big TV, and the remote was next to me, my sister came by and sat on the bed and watched me playing, when it did that
shut off thing, I yelled at my sister. "Turn it back on!"

I saw a Pigeon eat a Big Mac, that was pretty cool.

hehe. My sis yelled at me when I was making a coffee. I was like "I didn't do anything!"

The thing about the swinging dead guy is that it doesn't show when you have full sanity.

yea, I was playing the game around 12:30 at night, and when I saw the bathtub scene, I dropped my controller, turned the gamecube off immedietly and played a bright, happy game (Madden 04) for the next hour. :-)
