Deserves better than the ratings

I mean this movie gets 4.1 in IMDB, but it is better than that. The cast are not bad and there are funny moments. Not many plot holes, and it developed and built all right.

I liked this movie, but I think others didn't because they didn't know quite what it was going to be like. It was darker and slower than most of both JB's and Ben's work. It also had a tremendously weak plot. But it was hilarious! Good comedic timing and dialogue.
And I agree with you, people do go on other people's reviews. I hate that. There's also a bit of an IMDB clique on the boards, people see that the more respectable members did or did not like a movie, and suddenly they agree. You know the people I'm talking about, the ones that are on all of the boards, they talk about the Oscars and the Golden Globes constantly, and they conduct the ratings at IMDB. Everyone has their own opinions and sometimes the biggest movie snobs will enjoy a "bad" movie. And when they say they do, they don't get ridiculed like others might. It's kind of ridiculous and hilarious at the same time. I mean, I'm saying that I liked this movie. Nobody is going to respond to this post saying that I made good points and they have to agree, at least a little bit. But if someone like AlexBlancett (I'm sure everyone recognizes that name!) came on here saying he liked the movie and why, this board would get crowded with members agreeing with him, telling him he is so wise... wishing they were worthy of his actual presence... You get the idea.

"No, not next period, Right Now! Right Now! I'll take it right now! I'm ready for the test."

Yeah. The reviews I read were scathing and I expected something really awful. But after watching it I was wondering what the hell all the reviewers found SO bad. I just couldn't understand it. I mean, it's not a great movie. But it is also far from the abomination that many made it out to be.

I suppose it also depends on what an individual finds funny too. Comedy is a harder thing to "nail down" to appeal to a wide audience than drama, action or romance.
