During one of the last scenes right after Tom and the Jap guy talk to the generals. While Tom go's back to his soldiers and dismounts. You can clearly see a soldier get hit in the balls by the horse on the right side of the screen....... that made the movie for me.

I did notice the horse kick and noticed the guy flinch, but I didn't think that it made contact. It looked more like a threat/reaction thing to me. He didn't go down after all.
