Tom Cruise's preformance oscar worthy!

To me Tom Cruise gave his best preformance ever in this movie.true he has given several good ones in his time,but The Last Samurai preformance he gave was his best.He is so human and so emotional in the role.Defintly oscar worthy.Anyone else agree?

Definitely deserved the oscar for this performance. He played a man that is internally tormented from his past deeds very well.

I'm also not a fan of Tom Cruise but I agree that he had a great performance in this movie.

OP, I hate to disagree with you. I do respect your opinion. To me his performance in Born on the Fourth of July edges out this one. Maybe because for me it's a true story.

I also believe that his performance as Ron Kovic in "Born on the Fourth of July" is his best performance.
