Was better.
shareWell, it had quite a bit longer than 2 hours to tell a story, and the book had something like 20 major characters - took me a while to read.

The game or the TV series?
shareI had a chance to see a badly edited version of Shogun. It omitted pretty much any character development and plot and story, but included intensified slash and hack scenes and lots of nudity not in the made for prime time audience version. It was actually quite funny.
shareRichard Chamberlain should have had a cameo here.
I agree Shogun is a must-watch.
(I also enjoyed the board game and the later computer game.)
